A set of Audi A3 wheels arrived from Matt in quite good condition, there was no kerbing or damage, as you can see from the plastic centre caps they are in very good condition, so it was a matter of stripping the original paint finish, and mirror polishing them. They really do look good polished!!

PureKlas specialise in powder coating wheels and any metal parts that are capable of holding a charged current and withstand the heat curing process.
Powder coating is a great way to achieve a unique custom look for old tired wheels that you may have previously fallen out of love with.
Powder coating is the application of dry paint to a component. This powdered paint is electro statically charged which allows it to be sprayed onto wheels or car parts and coated. In order to make the powder cure on the wheels are placed in an oven an heated up to 200 degrees C.
Powder coating is a highly durable, customisable way to refurbish alloy wheels that is also environmentally friendly. It can come in virtually any colour or finish, matt or smooth, is rust-free and ecologically friendly.
Check our gallery to see examples of powder coating.

Refurbishing an alloy wheel takes time and preparation, all wheels must arrive stripped from the vehicle and tyres removed.
We will remove as much dirt and road grime as possible and then chemically clean and or blast the wheels. For multi spoke wheels we will get into all the grooves and ridges and this process can be carried out up to 3 times to ensure a dirt and grime fre service.
Next, we remove as much corrosion as possible by machine lathe which remove a fine layer of the alloy metal exposing a new look. On wheels such as split rims that need repairing we are able to cut out the damaged areas and using welding techniques build it back up. The affected area is then diamond turned or polished down to fit the profile of that wheel.
The next process is to coat the wheel, to give the wheel protection against corrosion. There are a million and one ways you can finish a wheel but the basics are as follows:
We can powder coat and bake a wheel to give that real alloy finish and then apply a layer of laquer to protect the wheel against stone chips etc. The powder coat is available in a number of colours and finishes, including pearls and metallics.
PureKlas are specialists in the art of metal polishing and can handle most types of metal. If you are looking to get engine parts or wheels polished to a show like mirror finish then please contact us for further details.
Many wheels are machined to a polished finish. For your convenience and piece of mind we can arrange for your wheels to be collected and repaired at our premises.
We can finish wheels off with a highly polished mirror finish which is perfect for flat face and monoblock alloy wheels. These are certainly statement pieces and are often seen on show winning cars such as VW, Audi and Porsche.
Check out our gallery of work to see some of the amazing finishes and also the high level of our work on previous cars.
